![]() ![]() I think Enable Port 2301 has something to do with HP Legacy apps. These are the selections I made during install. This is pre-requisite for the HP Array Configuration Utility (ACU) as the ACU is run from the HP SMH. Next, install the HP Systems Management Homepage (HP SMH). This will install the HP array drivers in preference to the supplied ones with WHS 2011. ![]() After the OS had installed, I then updated the P410 Smart Array Controller Drivers. Once the Smart Array Controller has initialized, pressing F9 allows you to configure the array before installing the OS, which in my case is WHS 2011. The first thing I did was move the installed 250GB drive from the drive bay to the ODD bay by attaching it to Nexus Double Twin together with another 250GB disk.Īfter installing the card and connecting a mini SAS to SATA cable to one of the ports of the card and the two disks, I powered it up. OK, it costs a little more than the server itself, and may be a bit overkill, but it's in my opinion the best RAID card available. I've written this guide which I hope other people might find useful if they are thinking about installing or even installed the one of the HP Smart Array Controllers in their Proliant MicroServer, N36L or N40L.
